Drain 1can (83/4 oz) fruit cocktail, reserving syrup. Add water to syrup to make 3/4 cup; bring to a boil.
Divide fruit among 8 dessert glasses.
Combine 1 pkg (3oz) raspberry flavored gelatin, and boiling liquid in electric blender container.
Cover and blend at low speed until gelatin is dissolved, about 1 minute.
Add 1 1/2 cups crushed ice and 1 teaspoon almond extract; blend at high speed until ice is melted, 30 seconds.
Pour into the glasses. Chill until set , at least 30 minutes; then sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sliced almonds.
