Ice Box Dessert

3/4 butter or shortening

1 1/2 cup powdered sugar

3 squares chocolate (melted)

5 eggs yolks (beaten)

1 1/2 tsp vanilla

3/4 cup chopped walnuts

5 eggs whites (beaten stiff)

3/4 cup whipped cream

1 lb vanilla wafers (crushed)

Cream butter and sugar. Add yolks, chocolate, nuts and vanilla. Blend well. Fold in whites and cream.

Line a pan with waxed paper. Cover bottom with half crumbs. Add mixture and cover with rest of crumbs. Chill overnight.
