1 1/2 cup sifted flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup butter or oleo
1/2 cup maraschino cherries chopped
1 cup sugar
2-1 oz squares chocolate melted
1 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup sliced almonds roasted
Mix sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Cut in oleo until mixture is moist and resembles cornmeal. Add cherries and toss to mix. Press lightly into bottom of 9×13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes until set.
Meanwhile make toppings by beating eggs until foamy. Beat in sugar&melted chocolate. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Stir into egg mixture. Stir in almonds.
Spread over baked portion & return to oven Bake 3 minutes or until dough springs back when touched.
