Butterscotch Brownies

2 cups unsifted flour

2 tsp baking powder

1 1/2 tsp salt

one 12 ounce bag of butterscotch chips

1/2 cup butter or margarine

2 cups firmly packed brown sugar

4 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. Melt over hot (not boiling)water, butterscotch chips and butter, remove from heat and transfer into large bowl. Stir in brown sugar. Cool for 5 minutes. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract. Blend in flour mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread in a 9×13 baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees, for 30 minutes.
