Coconut Squares

1 1/4 flour

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup shortening

1 cup crushed pineapple well drained

1 tbsp butter or oleo

1/2 cup sugar

1 egg

1 1/2 cup flaked coconut

Combine flour, 1/4 cup sugar and shortening in bowl, so it resembles cornmeal. Pat into 8″ square pan bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Remove from oven and top with pineapple. Set aside.

Combine butter, rest of sugar and egg. Beat well and add coconut. Blend thoroughly. Spread over pineapple. Return to oven and bake for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees or until done.

Easy Graham Bars 2

1 pkg (13 3/4 oz ) graham cracker crumbs

1 can (6 oz ) evaporated milk

1 pkg ( 6 oz) choc chips

1 cup choc chips

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup chopped nuts

1/4 cup butter or oleo

1 tsp vanilla

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well. Spoon mixture into greased 9″ pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until done.

Seven Layer Bars

1/2 cup butter

1 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs

6 oz pkg choc chips

6 oz pkg butterscotch chips

1 cup coconut

1 cup chopped nuts

1 cup carnation milk

Melt butter in a cake pan. Then add other ingredients by layer in order listed. Pour milk over top. Bake at 350 degreesĀ  for 30- 35 minutes or until lightly browned.

Cherry Supreme

2 cans (1lb) pitted cherries

1 cup sugar

1/3 cup corn starch

1/2 tsp Almond extract

Few drops red food coloring

1 cup flour

1 cup uncooked oatmeal

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup soft butter

Drain cherries well, saving juice. Mix sugar and cornstarch in a sauce pan. Stir in cherry juice gradually until smooth. Cook and stir until mixture boils. Let boil 1 min. until thick and clear. Take off heat. Stir in almond, coloring, and cherries. Mix in remaining ingredients until crumbly. Press half mixture in 9″ square pan. Spread cherry mixture over crumbs. Lightly press remaining crumbs on top and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes until golden brown. Top with vanilla ice cream.

Easy Graham Bars

Mix in a bowl:

3 cups graham cracker crumbs

1 cup sugar

1 cup evaporated milk

1 pkg (6 oz ) chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped nuts

1/4 soft butter

1 tsp vanilla

Spread mixture in a well greased 9″ square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Cool.

Chip and Nut Bars

1 cup butter or oleo

1 3/4 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla

2 cup flour

1 tbsp instant coffee

1 cup chopped nuts

1 pkg choc chips (6 oz)

Place all ingredients except nuts and chips in a large bowl. Mix on lowest speed until well blended. Stir in half the nuts and chips . Spread mixture in greased pan. Sprinkle remaining chips and nuts on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes .

Chocolate Chip Bars

1 cup + 2 tbsp flour

1/2 tsp soda

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup shortening

6 tbsp sugar

6 tbsp brown sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla

1/4 tsp water

1 egg

1/2 cup nuts

1 cup chocolate chips

Combine all ingredients and bake in a greased 13x9x2 pan at 350 degrees for 15 -20 minutes
