Snackin’ Granola Bars

3 1/2 cups Quaker Oats (quick or uncooked)

1 cup raisins

1 cup chopped nuts

2/3 cup butter or margarine, melted

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1/3 cup honey, corn syrup, or molasses

1 egg beaten

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon salt

Toast oats in ungreased large shallow baking pan in moderate oven (350 degrees) 15 to 20 minutes. Combine toasted with remaining ingredients; mix well. Press firmly into well greased 15 1/2 “x 10 1/2 ” jelly roll pan. Bake in preheated moderate oven (350 degrees) for about 20 minutes. Cool; cut into bars.
