M&M Super Chocolate Nut Cookies

1 pkg (1lb) Plain M&M’s Plain chocolate candies

2 1/2 cup flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp tsp salt

1 cup butter or margarine, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup chopped pecans

Chop 1 1/2 cups of the candies; save remainder for decoration. Stir together flour, baking soda, and slat. Cream butter and sugar in large bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Add chopped candies and the nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F. for six to seven minutes. Remove from oven; put three whole candies on top of each cookie. Return to oven and bake three to 5 minutes, or until light brown. Remove from baking sheets and cool on wire rack. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
