3/4 cup margarine
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
3 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
3/4 tsp soda
3/4 tsp salt
2 1/4 cups rolled oats
1 3/4 cups cut up dates
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients, then the rolled oats, dates and nuts. Refrigerate for several hours. Roll into 1″ balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork dipped in flour.
Bake at 375 degrees about 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
